Flags

A flag as an object of pride and symbol, emits the shared values and ideas of a nation.
Taking inspiration from Fante Asafo flags from Southern Ghana, used to send messages of defiance
and opposition; as well as from 'Karagiozis' Greek shadow-puppet theatre and folklore, 'Flags' carry a

highly symbolic imagery, whose role is to depict the current political situation of the artist's
home country Greece, forming a visually compelling contemporary narrative.
